Buyer Questions
Can you develop throw blankets from our reference image and target price?
Yes. Send a reference image, target price, quantity and market. Our five-person design team adjusts the design, materials, construction and techniques to reach a version that can be mass-produced at your price. Design takes 3–5 days; once you approve it, physical samples take 10–15 days. We also work from your own artwork or our pattern library.
What GSM should a retail faux fur throw be?
There is no single retail standard — GSM is chosen per program against hand feel, weight and target price. Our flannel fleece throws commonly run 180–350 GSM, and a double-layer construction adds the weight of the reverse fabric. Send your target retail price and we will propose the fabric weight and construction; our GSM guide shows how weight and size change the fabric used.
What are the standard throw blanket sizes in the US, UK and EU?
The common US throw is 50 × 60 in (127 × 152 cm), with 60 × 80 in (152 × 203 cm) for oversized throws. UK retailers most often list 130 × 170 cm or 130 × 180 cm, and German and other EU retailers 130 × 170 cm, with 150 × 200 cm as the larger size in both markets. We produce all of these and custom sizes.
Faux rabbit fur, sherpa or flannel — which fits our retail program?
Flannel fleece is the most print-friendly and cost-efficient face and suits printed and mass-market programs. Faux rabbit fur gives the most premium hand feel. Sherpa is usually the warm reverse of a double-layer throw, such as faux fur or flannel with sherpa, which adds warmth and perceived value. The right choice depends on your target price; our fabric comparison covers hand feel, shedding and retail position.
Do your faux fur throws shed?
Plush fabrics can shed a little, especially when new. We reduce shedding significantly with a higher-density fabric construction and, where needed, a light backing coating that does not noticeably change the hand feel.
Are your throw blankets OEKO-TEX certified?
Yes. Our 100% polyester blankets are covered by OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certificate SHHO 075738, product class I — the class for baby articles, with the strictest limits — held by Nantong Tulip Industries Ltd. You can verify the number on the OEKO-TEX Label Check. Articles outside the certificate scope are confirmed per order.
