Buyer Questions
Do you make cushions with inserts or covers only?
Both. Our facility blows filling and closes cushions in-house, so we can ship finished cushions with inserts or covers only, according to your program's logistics and price targets.
Can you develop cushions from our reference image and target price?
Yes. Send a reference image, target price, quantity and market. Our five-person design team adjusts the design, materials, construction and techniques to reach a version that can be mass-produced at your price. Design takes 3–5 days; once you approve it, physical samples take 10–15 days.
Is a throw pillow the same as a scatter cushion?
Yes. Throw pillow (or accent pillow) is the US retail term for small decorative pillows on sofas, chairs or beds; UK and Australian retailers call the same product a scatter cushion. For soft, huggable character and food shapes, UK buyers usually say cuddle cushion, while US buyers say plush or character pillow.
Can your cushions meet UK fire safety requirements (BS 5852)?
We can use flame-retardant filling and, on request, flame-retardant fabrics. Whether a finished cushion meets BS 5852 or another fire safety requirement depends on the buyer's specification and on the test results for that construction. Share your requirement with the inquiry and we will propose suitable filling and fabric.
Are your cushions OEKO-TEX certified?
Yes. Our polyester cushions, cuddle cushions and cushion covers — including the white polyester fiber filling — are covered by OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certificate SHHO 075738, product class I, held by Nantong Tulip Industries Ltd. You can verify the number on the OEKO-TEX Label Check.
Do you make kids' cushions and pillows?
Yes. Tulip produces kids' cushions and plush pillow items in soft polyester plush. Kids' items support the same OEM/ODM options — printing, embroidery, custom sizes, colors and packaging — as our decorative cushion line.
